Basically, it's based in many senses on his blog,  which he writes from the year 2000. You if you don't follow, you really should, check it out because,  because he didn't make films in this century. But, this blog is like his art project, and he uploads every day, he makes new posts,  in his book about his life and about his city. And in fact, like last week, he writes a lot about, about, this thing and, different beautiful things that I wanted to share,  with him, for example, Antonio Costa, who does this program,  and,  refreshed, as you remember, using the perspective of people. And he came in person,  almost ten years ago to present his films and Antonios and present pictures that I shared with you. Laughs and remembers this one.

He was planning and he really wanted to come, but in the last moment we decided that it would be too hard and to demand the trip for him, but we recorded a small introduction with him that you will see, because I think that the film, because the film is not easy. Okay. And it takes like we need some patience to enter this film. But the thing is, the film is also not easy because it's the it has very painful context of the history of Europe and the history of 20th century. And, uh, I found his presentation and his introduction really beautiful because he exactly makes sort of how to say motifs and great ways to see Like to have to do the same thing. In the beginning it would be a bit lost with what he's trying to say. So like when you start this film, uh, first with, uh, with this short video of his introduction, which is really nice in general and which was specially, specially for you. And another thing that he wrote and speaking about his website that you published the day before, before the screening, and he asked me to to read to you this poem, which is of course, is not so easy, especially with my Russian accent. That's why I also refer you to the website of Syberberg, because it's being published today. But still, I would like to do my best. The alternative wording in the course that has come upon Demmin can only be managed through the foundation of the poets world with its eternities, to which we hereby turn in the totality of these events. Whereas events now and before,  in this poem, in fact, The defense holding a dinner tonight, and he wanted to say that he was thinking about the stadium today. Tonight in Lisbon, with memories of the home of children and the title of Demmin Cantos. It's about the town of Demmin, which, nearby, where Syberberg was born and where he lives now. They were so afraid of Russians and so Soviets that they preferred to mass sentences,  in this town, in the water of then rivers. So all this film is,  centered around this project, and I apologize for the long interruption.
An other technical detail that the film is divided in this film is divided into parts in two chapters. Both of them they have separate the beginning and ending credits, but we do not have intermission, which shows like one film. But when you see the end credits, it's the end of the first part, because the film is in two movements, like in music, and this second  movement is very different."

„Es ist nicht so, dass man jeden Tag die internationale Premiere seines Lieblingsregisseurs präsentieren kann. Der Film ist ein sehr intimer Film, und ich weiß, dass Syberberg geliebt und respektiert wird, besonders in Lissabon, Portugal. Und dieser Film sieht fast so aus wie um seinen Traum zu verwirklichen, den Künstler in seinem Haus zu besuchen und den Film so intim zu gestalten, dass man fast das Gefühl haben könnte, neben ihm zu sitzen und dem Historiker zuzuhören, denn dieser Film, den er wirklich großzügig begleitet, begleitet großzügig mit seinen Bildern, aber auch mit seine Stimme. Der Film, den Sie in diesem Video sehen werden. Im Grunde basiert er in vielerlei Hinsicht auf seinem Blog, den er seit dem Jahr 2000 schreibt. Wenn Sie ihm nicht folgen, sollten Sie ihn sich unbedingt ansehen, denn , weil er in diesem Jahrhundert keine Filme gemacht hat. Aber der Film ist auch nicht einfach, weil er einen sehr schmerzhaften Kontext der Geschichte Europas und der Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts hat. Und, ich fand seine Präsentation und seine Einführung ist wirklich schön, weil er sozusagen Motive und großartige Möglichkeiten zum Sehen vermittelt, als müsste man dasselbe tun. Am Anfang ist man etwas verwirrt, was er eigentlich sagen will. Wenn man den Film also beginnt, äh, zuerst mit diesem kurzen Einführungsvideo, das im Allgemeinen sehr schön ist und das speziell war, speziell für Sie. Und noch etwas, das er geschrieben hat, und zwar über seine Website, die Sie am Tag zuvor, vor der Vorführung, veröffentlicht haben, und er hat mich gebeten, Ihnen dieses Gedicht vorzulesen, was natürlich nicht so einfach ist, besonders mit mein russischer Akzent. Deshalb verweise ich Sie auch auf die Website von Syberberg, da diese heute veröffentlicht wird. Aber trotzdem möchte ich mein Bestes geben. Die alternative Formulierung im Kurs, die Demmin erreicht hat, kann nur durch die Grundlage der Welt des Dichters mit ihren Ewigkeiten, zu denen wir uns hiermit in der Gesamtheit dieser Ereignisse wenden. Während die Ereignisse jetzt und vorher, in diesem Gedicht, in der Tat, Die Verteidigung hält heute Abend ein Abendessen ab, und er wollte sagen, dass er darüber nachdachte über das Studium heute. Sie hatten solche Angst vor Russen und Sowjets, dass sie Massenurteile in dieser Stadt vorzogen, im Wasser der Flüsse. Der ganze Film dreht sich also um dieses Projekt, und ich entschuldige mich für die lange Unterbrechung. Ein weiteres technisches Detail, das den Film ausmacht, ist, dass er in zwei Teile, in zwei Kapitel, unterteilt ist. Beide sind haben den Vorspann und den Abspann getrennt, aber wir haben keine Pause, was wie ein Film aussieht. Aber wenn Sie den Abspann sehen, ist das das Ende des ersten Teils, denn der Film besteht aus zwei Sätzen, wie in der Musik, und Dieser zweite Satz ist ganz anders.“
